I'd be afraid to try sleeping out under the stars (or in our case, clouds) I think the little beggers would have you drained by morning. Nothing left but an empty skin!

I was sitting outside about 10:30 and they were after me. I had sprayed my legs earler , but since removed my tennis shoes, so they were after my feet, big time.

If I am going to be out around dusk, I have to spray any exposed skin with Off.

Oooh I hate it when they bite my feet! I had one bite the bottom of my foot today and it itches like crazy!

I asked my husband..."Supposedly there is a purpose for every creature on earth. If one species becomes extint it throws off the balance of nature. So what purpose do mosquitoes serve and what balance would they throw off if they were wiped off the face of the earth? Wouldn't bother me a bit!!"

Kind of hard to imagine what good they serve. Most insects, you can figure out something that they contribute, but I can't with mosquitoes. Everything is negative.

Nope I hadn't seen it but I've been discussing it with him at length on myspace. He's headed about 60 miles to the north of me. I'm hoping he has enough time to say "howdy", after all, he'll be driving right past my house!

Ok, I had told him I thought you were in that area.

UBC Botanical Garden Forums. I don't spend an enormous amount of time there but it's a great place to go if you have any gardening questions or need to identify a plant. That's how I found it, my mom gave me 2 houseplants and we didn't know what they were. I posted pictures of them and within 2 days I knew what I had!

May have to check that out. That is how I use the Rat Terrier site. I keep up with what is going on, pretty well, but seldom post. Have learned a lot about the breed there. I also belong to another truck site, but it is not near as good as this one, so don't go there every day. I have some music groups, also.

Here's the site: UBC Botanical Garden Forums I've gotten lots of useful info there. I found a great recipe for keeping deer from eating your flowers and vegetables! My mom started using it a few years ago and has gotten beets from her garden for the first time in many years!
