Have you ever had frozen custard from Andy's? It is ice cream evolved to its highest level. (That's actually in their slogan - but it's the truth!) They opened a franchise in Tyler last year and it stays so busy you can hardly get in the place. They had their first anniversary on Saturday and had a big party, etc., and gave out free custard. On the insurance card for my old '91 GT it would read GT/GTS when they didn't really make any GTS's until 1994.

If it was made in Canada then that could explain it. They threw in Cobra after the letters GT in some years. Therefore making it a GT Cobra or Cobra GT. I forget which way it went. That guy is probably blowing smoke though.
