A 2x4 about 3" long placed under the gas pedal is the best mod for gas mileage.

Gotta love the sound of a healthly 7.3

That's my thinking. I don't need to go fast. I just go from point a to point b. I would love a new Camaro SS so maybe after college I may get that as a toy, but no fast driving until that day.

I love a 7.3 sound, nothing in the world quite like it except for a banks sidewinder equipped 6.9

as far as not going fast it's hard not to when you know you have the ability under the right foot

I'm going to find some 17" or 18" drag tires to put on the factory rims just to mess with people at the track

The 20s are probably wider too, so more resistance.

Agreed. However, I would never drive this truck hard. I broke my back to get it. People thought I was crazy working so much during the past few years in hs and then when I found it, one of the best days of my life. I plan to keep my truck forever, but one thing I am also curious about, say 10 years down the road when I'd be out on my own, could it be possible to put a 6 speed tranny and optimize the gearing for mpg?

I am going to get a towing and econ tune from Innovative Diesel for the SCT. RollingRock ran the econ tune from them and he didnt have any issues and I have heard of people taking out there transmissions with the Edge when towing so I was trying to stay away from it. I need to get a set of guages and exhause before I get the tunes so its going to be a couple of months so I will do a little more research.
