Let's start over......
I think he is asking about a spray in bed liner, not the factory paint. Is the inside of your bed red or does if have a blach stuff sprayed on it?

I know he is asking about the bedliner - which I do have - sprayed all the way up to the top, all the way around, and on the tailgate. I just do not know if they left the bolts exposed whey they sprayed it - or covered them up. I suspect they are covered up. In fact, I'm pretty sure they are. I think I'd have noticed.

Darn 4.6's.
The upper shock mount on the drivers side is right up against the bottom of the bed, and there isnt really a quick way to get in there and get that nut off the top of the shock. Ive got this pic from my silver truck that kinda shows the tight space between the top of the shock and the bed. Anyways its easier to lift the bed a couple of inches to get at the upper nut then it is to do it without lifting the bed a little.
There is about 5" of shock that isnt shown in the picture so imagine how close it gets to the bottom of the bed.
