Then I'd bundle up and shovel/plow/scrape yet again!! I think it did depress a lot of folks, especially those who are new to these parts. I was born and raised very near here so I know what the weather is capable of!
If I lived where it was a regular thing, it would be different. Here, no one knows how to deal with it, it's so rare. It cripples us. We have no equipment or anything. However, one of the most beautiful sounds to me is the sound of snow falling. Very soothing to me.

I lived in Amarillo for about 2 years as well as California, Louisiana and a few west coast communities. I know exactly what you mean. Not only do they not have snow plows, they aren't even sure what one looks like!!

It is very peaceful to walk out in the quiet forest with the snow whispering down around you. Not another noise anywhere, just snow. However the avalanche we heard one night when we lived in Juneau was a bit on the creepy side! It was dark and we had just gotten home and were out in our driveway. We lived about 2 miles from a mountain (appropriately called Thunder Mountain!) and it had just snowed about 12" that day. The avalanche started with a sort of rumbling sound, it was so clear sounding we could actually hear the snow crunch (you know the crunching sound it makes when you walk on snow?) we could hear that from the snow sliding over itself! We weren't an any danger, we were far enough away from the mountain, but not being able to see it was a little eerie!

Email them and bitch them out. Maybe they'll send you more shirts for free.

While there are hardly anymore true solid oak doors (or solid "insert wood of choice here" doors), the doors I monkey with are either custom made/carved true solid core doors of different wood or solid core veneered doors - both are quite heavy in an 8' application. 90% of my work is high end stuff.

I had a ginormous wallet for years I kept in my back pocket. I got tired of it and now have a very small wallet I keep in my front pocket.

I hate breaking in a new one. Like sitting on a rock.
