John, I was not clear with what you reported. Did you get the plug unplugged on the MAF?

Well usually "more is better" is true. (Cars, money, sex, food, lil cinnamon rolls)

Yep, but too much of any of it can be a bad thing. I have experienced all of those but money, and I have seen the results of that in others.

It's hard to say. That red clip thing we just moved back until it would not go any farther. Then my dad undid those two torq screws on the outside of the airbox one was in the top left the other was on the bottom right). Then he started pulling it out and he said it felt like thier was tension on it and it made him nervous so he said he would rather not screw with it. Does that red tad have to completely come off or where we doing it properly?

It's been over a year since I messed with it and so my memory may not be good on this. I think you pull the red clip up, then you can unplug the plugin, but I am not positive. You do have to completey unplug it though. Then remove the screws and then just pull the unit straight out. You can't mess it up as long as you do not touch the sensor wire. Looks like piano wire. That is what you spray. The bigest danger is messing up the plug or cross threading a screw. Just not a big deal.

I have just under 41000 on the truck now... is it worth it to even clean it yet?

HEy Pat... any idea how much 2 mirror caps would be for my truck from a junkyard? The whole 1 price backing part?

I've never cleaned my MAF and I've had a K/N drop-in in for almost 80,000 miles.

well thats if you can even find the mirrors at a junk yard, and they probably wont sell you just the caps alone if the rest of the mirror is still good. I'd say 50-75 per mirror assembly

Would that be power? (that's what I have) I want to just get the cap but if I can't I could just get the whole thing and use what I need and keep the rest as a spare. In the spring I want to redo my caps and do them so they look professional. One has a gouge on the top from the last owner anyways so it would just look better
