Let's start over......
You can. you just have to get into it. My Dad was a mechanic when I was growing up. Had a limited education, 5th grade. I was embarrassed at what he did for a living and refused to go help him at the shop. I decided I wanted to work in an office. This was when I was 10 to 17 years old. After I left home, Dad started his on parts store and became quite a financial success. Somewhere about my 18th year, he really got some smarts. Later in life, I needed a hobby and bought a 1954 Ford pickup. I started doing body work, building engines, restoring Mustangs and even bought a wrecking yard so I would have a play pen. My point is, I knew nothing until I jumped in and tore my first 289 down and rebuilt it. If you want to, just get after it.
NOW that's what I'm talking about Jim. My mom will tell you when I was growing up, they would buy me something and I would take the whole thing apart just to see if it would work after I put it back together. And sure enough, it did. I rather do it myself than pay someone to do it.
