I bought my house out in Alvarado because my job was right at 35W and 917. I was less than 10 minutes from work then my company was bought out and I was transfered. I was happy to keep my job. So I did not complain and just adapted.

Our when the boom truck pulls back in the yard and the jib is extended all the way out and buckled.

Also had one that the dumb A** driver hooked a deuce and a half up to to pull out a tractor trailer and the chain pops loose snatched the front bumper and rips the whole hood and all bracing off. Truck had less than 15,000 miles on it.

Gosh I could go on all day.

My favorite is one of our drivers forgot to put the outriggers up and realized what he did and didn't set the brakes engaged the PTO lifted the outriggers and the truck rolled down a hill and the only thing that stopped it from going into Lake Superior was one of the outriggers caught an 8in Birch tree on the way down. Then to add insult to injury after waiting 2+ hours for a wrecker to show up the wrecker driver snaps a drive shaft so they had to wait another 2+ hours for another heavy duty wrecker to come and pull the wrecker and the boom truck out.

All I have to say is I have never needed a wrecker to get out of any of mine though.

Is that because you had a 15 ton winch on the back.

More than likely he deep sixed them in Lake Superior and a wrecker was worthless.

Nope the only time I ever got stuck with our boom truck was when I pulled into a hard snow packed driveway off the highway with hot tires and stopped. All I needed was a little sand and the power divider was broken and no one told about it so it was interesting to say the least.
