it allows the transmission to shift faster, keeping your fluid cooler and your clutches lasting longer...

plus it's safer than messing with the pump for firmness

I'm using the factory tech seperator plate, many also like the transgo shift kit and pat loves his J-mod

Sure, come on. Your visit is important! While you're here, we'll go get a Frito pie!

I stand behind the Transgo Kit, -saved my arss a chunk of cash. Truck was slipping so bad it wouldn't brake torque, well worse than that lol. Mike talked me into the Transgo kit (Tugger Kit I believe). That was 3 years ago. Stiil shifts GREAT, no pause, hits good, specially when pulling.

Cheaper than a "Monster in the Box" - which is what I was looking at back then. I think that was a "Factory Tech" built tranny.

the factory tech kits bang a lil' for the older transmissions so I'd recomend the transgo also for the '97-'01 trucks

I can help, if you have a 4R100. If not, I can't - The 70 or 75 (which is most likely your tranny) are quite bit different.
