So you spread them out on a table, and now you're just looking at them. Slacker.

You need to do some research on temperment and physical needs. For instance, you may want to avoid a long hair as they need lots of brushing. A Lab makes a great family dog, and can be a good inside dog if you bathe them regularly. One other thing, it can be very rewarding to get a rescue dog. They seem to understand when they have been saved. Plus, if you get one that is a year old or so, you miss all the difficult training and chewing problems.

You can probably tell, Pam did not have a dog as a child. See what I mean?
Very funny. Actually, I've had dogs all my life - and I completely agree with Jim. The only thing I would add is that to have a family pet, or dog, it doesn't necessarily have to be a "house" dog. I was just trying to stress that it all depends on what suits your household and also how much time you and your family are going to have to spend with it's training - since you want a "house" dog. As for rescue dogs - I think that's the way to go if you can find one that fits your family. Lots of them are already trained too.

Try to shoot it while it's flying, that way you can get the anger out faster by getting to shoot more that once.
