I still have all my fingers intact.

Someone called the cops on us. That didn't stop us though.

We live out in the toolies, we have people shooting guns out here all the time, target practice and hunting. The dogs are so used to it they didn't even notice the fireworks.

You may not have the intensity we have. Imagine an area about the size of a city block with them firing off the big bombs that shoot up in the air right over you and then explode. It gets pretty intense and loud. Was nerve racking to me, much less a dog that was not expecting it. This went on for about 4 hours. It's down to a trickle now.

Yea, I'm sure we didn't have near the noise you did. We have a few neighbors that shot off some noise makers but most of what we heard was pretty far away.

Ya'll ever have one of those, oh sheet, that could have really sucked moments? Was having a weird problem with the truck this morning. First off, I park my truck in the same spot, every night. Here's an older pic, but it give ya an idea of what my parking spot it like:

The problem was that it wouldn't start and I couldn't get the key to come all the way back to off or accessory. I was able to get the key out cause my ignition tumbler is worn and I can take my key out at any time... Even while it is running. But it had never done this before. Never not started or had troubles with the tumbler itself. But, I could still get everything inside the truck to fire up, including the dash board and wait to start light. So, I figure I'll jump the starter solenoid and try and narrow a few problems down. Well, after I few tries, I got it to jump and the truck starts right up. Then, the truck starts to move backwards, and keeps going backwards. I yell, then dad comes running out of nowhere and gets his hand on the brake, stopping my truck about 1' before it hit the brick wall. Turns out the truck wouldn't start because it wasn't in park all the way, and when I did start it, the shifter slipped down into reverse. Of course, everything is fine now....

Z - I thought your truck was a 6 speed? That's one of the first things I check if a car won't start.

Yeah, thank God dad was there.

So, took the Cavi™ to get it inspected today. It passed the "emissions" test with flying colors. It failed safety due to this:

Nothing else. Just that. Fixed it in 3 mins.

So after failing my safety test, I decided to redeem myself at Harbor Freight tools. Bought the biggest set of jack stands that they have. God I love that store.

I looked at those... But they're nowhere near high enough for my truck. Dad's jack (standard floor jack, big one) can't even touch my frame at its highest. :o
