At least Tony can win. Jr and Harvick can't.

Tony Stewart is the biggest a-hole in Nascar. He's not the best driver either. Most of them are on an even keel. It's their equipment and setup that sets them all apart.

We shall see. He has just as just as much of a chance to eat a wall in Daytona as everyone else does.

I knew Tim before he became a singer. We use to hangout at a place called the Derrik Lounge in Rayville La. He's from Start, La. and I'm from Mangham,La.

All that proves is that an a-hole can win sometimes. He ain't the first a-hole to win.

The restictor plate races don't count, in my book, as anything other than a crap shoot.

Let's say Jr wins this race. Does that mean he's "back" like so many Jr fans want to say? No.

If you get lucky and your at the front of the line that starts moving you win the race.

He's one HELL of a car racer but yes he's also a leading contender at bellyaching.

So who was the first? You've been around long enough to have seen the first one.

The restrictor plate races are more about the pit crew team work and a drivers skill than they are about HP and the car. Anyone can take a car that can run away from the field and win a race on a shorter track. Hell even a monkey like Stewart can do it.

I disagree. What's takes more skill? Riding around Daytona with your foot on the floor, staying in the draft and you can win from last place in 20 laps or a track like Sonoma or Richmond or Bristol where you better hit your marks every single corner or you're gonna be in the wall, braking and downshifting, and you better be in the top 3-5 in the last 20 laps if you want a shot at winning.

ETA: The draft is the great equalizer, it let's the slower cars keep up. On short tracks it's either hit or miss with the new car. A few teams can hit it right on and when they do it makes everyone else look like they're driving a dump truck.

I forgot Wild Bill made it in. Would like to see him win.

I'll have to switch at 2:00, last round of Pebble Beach starts.
