Yea but you never know sometimes you can get a brand new set and one of them will be messed up....

Could be a fuel issue that has caused the plug to fail too. Too many variables to point down to one cause.

can you tell when the AC clutch is cycling on and off?

Might be an "idle air" problem then if it cant pick up the RPMs before the clutch engages

How often does it stumble on A/C? I think that's when mine stumbles.

well best way to learn what AC clutch engaging is like is turn AC on, and watch the compressor. you will see the pully spining, then the clutch will grab and the "face" of the pully will spin.

If you are driving, and idling you should be able to hear it kick in, and notice the RPMs drop a tiny bit upon engagment.

No the pulley is spinning, or you would have no more belt left.

Im suggesting watching the compressor.... like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yL4MlSsidZc

or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kp8pX...eature=related

and see if it stumbles when it engages (starts spinning)

Could it be the compressor dragging when it kicks on?

not likely, that would probably be associated with a squeal, or squeek from the belt, and the pull would look pretty burned up if that was the case
