That's good to know.
Us Alltel users here are in a limbo state right now.
Verizon bought them out but had to sell a portion of Alltel off due to monopolization laws.
So my service will be becoming AT+T but still waiting on the FCC's final approval.
My contracts up right now and I've been looking at the 1 year deal along with upgrading to the BB tour. The newer curve I looked at was appealing at first but they took away some of the features that I use.

I have the BB Bold 9700. It is perfect for me. Best phone and email device I have ever owned. If I were into apps, has that capability too. I can get on Yahoo and this site and that is all the internet I do with the phone. If I were into surfing, games, etc, the Iphone or Droid might have more appeal. Have a friend that replaced a Razr with a Droid and the phone on the Droid is also lesser quality. Like the Iphone, the emphasis is on internet, games, apps etc. I need a business communication tool first, fun stuff second.

One thing I enjoy with this phone is my music. When driving or relaxing, I like to listen to my music collection. I have a lot of old music on cds. Blues, 50s, 60s and 70s stuff plus some newer stuff by artists I like. I have about 20 cds loaded on a memory card that is in the phone. All I have to do is plug in the headset. I can listen by song list, album, or artist. I prefer that over music apps. So, as you can see, this fits me better than some of the newest technology. LOL

I do the same thing in my work truck except just pipe it into the aux jack on the radio.
Works pretty good.

Dropped calls are a part of having any type of wireless phone.

I dont have any problems with my BB Curve unless I am in a known dead spot. And we live at the end of the earth up here.
