Morning Jim. Shot a 103 last night and if I could get my putting under control I would have been in the 90's.

The Colonial starts today. I used to go every year. Banks are not giving away tickets like they used to!

I would like to attend a PGA event sometime. Hey man times are tight they have to cut costs to pay those huge salaries and bonuses some how.

I have gone to the Byron Nelson several times and the Colonial many times. I used to get several passes each year and had extras to giveaway. I would go on Friday and Saturday and be a guest at a hospitality tent of a couple of banks and UPS. Now, don't even get a phone call asking if I want to go.

I never cared for the Nelson that much, just not a fan of the TPC courses. Too spread out. I love the Colonial course though. It's a tight, old style course. Tiger played it once and won't come back. His length is not such an asset. It's a placement, shot makers course. I have gotten to play it several times, it's awesome.

The Colonial sounds like the course I play every week.

I see some similarities. Bunched up tight, not spread out all over so they can sell lots. Short and all shots have to be the correct distance.

Yupp if you shot gun shots you are in serious trouble on most holes at Pine Grove. I have been playing this course since I have been a kid and it still eats me alive some times.
