So... I'm going to have to re-do the living room. We have french doors leading to the den and they are going to have to go. I never liked them anyway. We only use one door anyway, so I'm going to put a solid door there and close the rest up. Then the wall will be big enough to accommodate the entertainment center.

Have to re-run some coax and phone lines, do some carpentry and drywall, trim work, no big deal.

I wanted to change where the TV wall was anyway. This will open up our living room.
you should do pocket doors that slide back into the wall. Atleast you picked a project that you can work in the AC for :o

Just got back to my apt after driving about 700 miles this weekend. Only used a little more then one full tank of gas, and total gas bill was around 35 bucks

Left my apt 4am Sat, drove to rowlett, picked up brother + his 03 camry, drove to Austin met up with my parents, drove to S.A. for my great grandmas memorial service, then to burnet to hang out with my grandparents and work on both of their 03 buicks, spent the night in burnet, then this morning about 11am we headed back to rowlett to drop off brother + camry, and then back to my apt in the colony.

Well we changed plans. Bought a new couch/loveseat set in Plano and moved the other new stuff in the den. No hard work for me now.

We've had a mix/match of living room furniture for years. It's nice be able to buy and have something that actually goes together. We'll be shopping for a coffee table and end tables next.
