You mean he won? Wonder how he will do tomorrow night with the big boys. Didn't he start 2nd?

Yep he started second.

We watch the start of the race and then took a walk.
Came back with and watched it with 27 laps to go and Junior led them all.
5 laps to go and caution. Paul Menard blew a tire.
With 28 cars on the lead lap all but the front 9 came in for tires.
Quite typical that his car was good on the long runs but not the short ones.
3 laps left on the restart and Joey Lagono gives Junior a great push and the rest is history.

Didn't matter what mfg car you drove they were all loose and really aero loose!
They had to throw away their notebooks on the old car and start with a clean piece of paper for tonights race.

I can remember the very first time they ran under the lights in Daytona. It was back in "98 I believe. Me and the wife was there. J. Gordon won. It was called the Pepsi 400 back then.
