Let's start over......
Ya idk what happend the other crew drove out about 45 minutes before with no issues, but it wasn't a road it was just a right away of a pipline. Snow flew over the hood and it was game over. So I had to walk a half mile back and fire up the Cat.

There's a lot of variables here......
Like the big one...
LABOR RATE
So you've got to decide WHO is going to do the work....
Do you want a warranty?
I called a few of the indys in my area and they'd charge 500-1000 for the swap plus incidentals not including the price of the motor......
A Ford Quality Reman is around 2500
You can also think about getting a used low mileage one also for around 1500
Time to do some searching old skewl style and brush the dust off the phone book and start calling to get price quotes.....
Just remember the approx prices that I listed are for MY AREA not your area.

What I was saying is that not every country, region, state, town, or shop is going to have the exact same price for the same job or part......
