Be a good father and hand him over the truck!

Prolly a good idea to get his first car at an auction. No sense in spending tons of money on a first car that he'll prolly get tired of. Plus it'll show him responsibility with maintence and value of a dollar.

 

When my son was about 11 or 12, I told him to pic out whatever olde car he wanted and we would find one and restore it for his first car. I had just finished my 54 truck and my 65 Mustang. I thought he would jump on a 67 Camero or a 65 Mustang. At the time, we had a 70 Olds Delta 88 that was a second family car. We had bought it new but this was 1984. He said "Naw Dad, I'll just drive the Delta. Took me a long time to get over that. I thought we would have fun building it together, but he had no interest. I still built him a 65 Mustang for HS graduation, which he ended up being very proud of.

we are supposed to get 8-20 inches of snow today....

 

We were supposed to get that but the storm is going to slip south of us and all we are going to get is 4-8 inches out of it.
