I need some advice guys. So I have a shaker 500 Hu from an 08 mustang on the way. I am going to do these speakers and then I am debating on an amp and sub. I don't need a crazy high end unit, but I am unsure if I should amp the door speakers and get a sub and encolsure to run off the amp as well or just run the door speakers off the HU, then get a powered Sub/box combo like this and then maybe down the road amp the door speakers? What would you guys do? And I have been doing some searching and I think if I set aside time and patience, I can do the amp install myself

John, I alway's just powered the Rockford Fosgate 8in truck boxes behind the seat and let the HU take care of the door and pillar speakers. Although I wasn't after that mega thumping bass.

Eventually I am going to do my stereo install. I have one amp for the front door speakers and an amp for the subs. Do some research in the subwoofer section. Helped me a lot.

Thanks for the info fellas I'm after better sound and some bump. I listen to most amped country... but I like my rock too and some R&B and pop so some thump would be welcomed. I'm thinking of just doing this to start because it will be cost effective.e I am pretty sure I need harnesses for the speakers and wire for the sub. I'll do more digging. Thanks for the advice on that reading Will

And one more thing... those speakers I listed, you need a harness for them right? I can't find information on that

I found some on crutchfield, so I'll probably just get them through there when the time comes. I'll also have to look into what I need for the sub/box combo. I'll have to see what I need with that

I found my box cheap on CL. It sits in my garage with the rest of my audio stuff.

Send a message to the seller....it said something about speaker wire in the description....but it was vague....

Watching Texas ChainSaw Massacre/Beginning. Talk about a strange movie, I never watched any of the movies before.
