Got a compliment on my truck early this morning. Stopped for fast food breakfast at the drive thru before driving to work and had to pull around the front to wait for my food. Some high school athletes came out of the place and saw my truck. I got a 'Woo, Tight' from them. I guess that's good.

I asked him today: Electrical engineer he said he went for. Piecing this together slowly, but surely. This is the amp I got coming. Way overrated wattage, but it should be ok, right? I think I'm going to upgrade to a DieHard Platinum P2 for safe measure. the door speakers are rated at 75 rms so if I turn the gain to about halfway, that should be safe right (around 75rms?)

Home to myself for two weeks as the 'rents went to the Grand Canyon. Cooking spaghetti and playing some Aces High.

I wanna start sipping a few brewskis but whenever I do a call comes in and Fire & Alcohol never mix

Wow John I'm way cheaper than you when it comes to amps.

Maybe when I get this body stuff done I can start my system. I have 95% of all the components already.

Yeah I wanted a 5channel to power everything... that amp goes for 600-700 usually. cadence seems to be a good name in audio. I think I'm going to go with the $100 supercrewsound.com 10" sub box for under my rear seat and then the 10" Image Dynamics sub they recommend for the box. I think it's going to be a very good sounding system. The speakers sound good just off the HU. Can't wait to do the rears tomorrow. I need to get the panel removal tool after work. That's what stopped me from it today.

its better to have a strong amp that you tune down, then buying a weak amp that you boost the gain on it to make up for it

I don't know about the super cabs, but on the rear door speakers on the super crew the rear door panel has to come off to get to the speakers.

Will the truck be ok to handle that? It's a pretty powerful amp from the looks of it. I'm not touching the grounds on the truck at all

yea you will probably need a 2-4 gauge kit to wire up a big amp

I ran a 1200w JBL on stock everything, on a 4g wire.

Man you just take out the bolts and lift, door panel off. At least that's what i remember. It's been a long time since I had the rear panels off.
