The new definition of irony should be switched to: getting pulled over an hour after registration decals expire. Yup, I got pulled over @ 1am this morning, right after my decals expired. It sucked listening to dispatch read all the details to the cop behind me and hear: "10-19 valid Class E, 1998 Ford F-150, white in color, 10-22 decals expired 6/22/11...which was approximately an hour ago, sir"
I was laughing hysterically when he walked back up to the window.
Why not make you own. I built my custom Philips LumiLED taillights in under 10 hours and cost me $54. They are 3x brighter than the Chinese crap that will die on you from eBay anyway

How involved were the tails... a lot of your pics are gone
Morning.
I am absolutely astounded at the half assed work I found last night on the hydraulic lines on my John Deere I am also surprised the leaks were not worse than what they were. The newer soft lines that were added had rubbed through to the steel braiding in three different spots, the flares at the adapters don't even look like a 37* JIC flare they look like a 45* automotive brake system flare and one was way to small and the other one was way to large to even seal when the nut was tightened. They also used a JIC 90 into a cast iron 1/4" to 1/8" 90* and then into a brass reducer at the coupler with no tape or dope to make sure everything didn't leak. The oiler cooler tube adapter was also only finger tight so that explains why it was leaking even though it at least had pipe dope on it. I am scared to even look into the motor on this thing and if it was not a Kohler it would probably not be running and would get a repower of a V-Twin Briggs or Honda after what I found last night.

Brew, I don't use brass on hydro lines I use the correct JIC fitting/adapter when ever possible because they were designed for hydro line but if I had I would have at least taped it with heavy gauge teflon tape. Someone else at some point had used on the brass fittings as a reducer instead of getting the correct JIC adapter. I have heard the Kawasakis are good motors but I like the good old cast iron Kohler that's in it but I am going to give it a good once over as long as it's out just to maker sure it continues to run for at least another decade or so. This little Deere is only three years younger than I am and it's 33 this year.
