That reminds me. I had a friend in high school whose uncle went to jail for robbing a pizza delivery guy for $50.

Not hard at all. Chop 1 1/4' off the frame, shorten fuel lines, wiring, exhaust. Bolt up a short bed and you're good to go.

My main concern would be in reinforcing the frame.

"After much calculating and measuring, we split the frame where the cab and bed meet and shortened it 16" welded it back together and plated the inside for reinforcement. Each frame rail now has eight 3/8" Huck rivets (an industrial grade 8 fastener used in big truck and trailer construction with uncompromised strength) that secure the reinforcing plate. The factory quite often puts frames together in this same manner; we just do a prettier job of it. The end result is an extremely tough joint that is stronger than before the cut was made. If this frame ever gets damaged, it will bend anywhere else before it bends or breaks here. The frame was then cleaned and undercoated to protect it."

I wouldn't worry about it at all. Full pen welds say that it isn't going anywhere. Any decent weld shop should be able to do that no problem. Guys at my shop will do it for a case of beer (seriously). It'd take them an hour to weld it all up and reinforce it with whatever size Grade 50 plate you want.

yea not hard to do budha, plus you wont be doing any crazy towing with a truck like that, or frame flex off road....

Well i worked on my garage then started helping my roomate do his flipkit on his dodge. So no progress on my box, but hopefully i can get it done this week, with fingers crossed, then drop it off for paint this weekend when im in waco.

If anything, I'd be towing the same two trailers I towed with the fiddy - my boat and occaisonally my work trailer.
