You don't realize how poorly the 2004s and early 2005s were tuned. Ford should be ashamed they sold them like that. My truck hesitated so badly when you gave it gas, it was going to get me killed. Later on, they did a TSB to reflash them and correct it. They left way too much on the table with their tunes and the only way to fix that is with a tuner.

slow today, probably should be working on my SIL's jeep thats been messed up for a while

I atleast got it running yesterday, making a set in the right direction, but its not running well

they quit driving it because the harmonic balancer failed, and ran into the cooling fan. It sat 3 or 4 months before it made its way to the shop. I replaced the balancer, now im dealing with some weird electrical problems now

I just spotted and read the thread. Sounds like a royal headache.

yup, and my SIL killed another car while her Jeep has been down, i got that one going last week, lower ball joint failure, so two new LBJs and two new CV axles

Buying a vehicle from her would not be a wise choice. You should sell her the Blazer!

heh that blazer is too fragile for her driving style/habbits

plus i want to get rid of it so I dont have to work on it, not keep it in the family

Well, looks as if you are going to be working on whatever the SIL drives and at least you would be very familiar with it.
