I would burn the money up pretty quickly. Driving about 30,000 miles a year and that thing gets about 6 mpg on premium. Plus, it would need an additive to substitute for lead or the valves would burn up.

Jim, just stick with the 5.0. The EB is a great engine I'm sure, it just hasn't been proven enough yet for my to buy one.

Unless you wanna opt up for the 6.2.

This is not really relevant, but back in the late 80s, I had a friend with an 87 Grand National. I had a 1954 Ford F100 with a 351 Clev 4V, 4.88 gears and nitrous. We would race almost every weekend for 1/4 mile. From the standstill, that Buick would take me off the line so far that you would think there was no way I could ever catch him in a 1/4, but about 2/3 down the strip, I would blow his stuff in the weeds and pull away. He never beat me. That thing had tremendous low end torque but ran out of engine about 2/3 down the track. I'm wondering if the EcoBoost is similar or if it is completely different.
The GN wasn't tuned right. I have a good friend who has an 87 GN and that thing is insanely fast through the entire range.

I have a friend with one too... and his dad had to detune it a bit for him so he wouldn't get into trouble He's got a few mods on that bad boy. It used to be his dad's back in the day and his dad and he are both huge into modded cars. I haven't had a ride in it yet, but for a V6, it sounds mean

I hate the shoulder seatbelts built into the seats, they are uncomfortable, and way unsafe for anybody 200lb+

Think I figured the boat out. Got new plugs, gapped them and put them in. Filled up a 45 gallon garbage can with water and ran it for about 15 minutes. Idles a lot better than before I know that.
