Not yet, but I am with you on that one. I am not going to play golf tomorrow because it's going to be the hottest day so far in this heat wave.

His was tuned. He had a complete assortment of tunes and took it to the strip almost every weekend. Even took it to the Nationals. It was fast, in it's day.

He even had an ice chest full of ice so he could ice down the intercooler between races. At one time, he held some kind of record at Texas Motor Speedway, for his class. He would take it from Abilene to Kennedale on Fridays, and run the 1/8 mile track, spend the night, and then on Saturday, take it to Ennis's Texas Motor Speedway for the 1/4 mile. He would change the size of his slicks and change chips to run the different tracks.

The other day I kept smelling something from my truck and couldn't figure it out. Also felt like it was dragging real bad the past couple days... Had my dad look at it and ended up being that one of the pistons in my calipers busted... Its always the odd little things with my truck, I swear...

No, but they should have convicted Mother Nature and Old Man Winter. But, I think they would drop the charges as it was probably suicide to try to fly in that weather.

I would convict the pilot as well. He obviously didn't do his preflight as he would've noticed one of his stabilizers was missing, they only found two stabilizers at the crash site

Well, he paid the price. Or was it suicide and murder?

Either way, it was the loss of not one but three legends. Taken from Wiki:

This exchange of words would haunt Jennings for the rest of his life

I was a 16 year old kid and I knew at the time that it was a huge loss for the musical industry. Valens and J. P. Richardson were good, but Holly(actually it's Holley) was a true genius. Just one of his innovations was to put a full string orchestra with his rock and roll band. You listen to the full list of the songs he wrote and the variety is astonishing. All by the time he was 20 or 21.
