I would have thought that every house up there would have a fireplace.

Nope, most of the time they are just a huge heat loss in the winter. May put a gas insert in when we build a new house.

My BIL has a wood burning insert that has a fan on it. That thing can heat most of his whole house. We have a fireplace in the burleson house that has not been used in about 15 years.

It is very relaxing to me to sit and watch a fire burn down late at night.

I love fireplaces but we just did not have the floor space or the money in the budget when I we did the house.

Went and got all the detailing stuff this morning, got home and it looks like rain now.

The chrome looks like furnace pipe now! It curled up as soon as I took it off. Must be hiding it's ugly face.
