How do they slice fresh loaves of bread when it is so soft? Especially when it's hot.

A very sharp bread knive and slicing the bread into 3/4in slices. My dad and I were famous for devouring an entire batch of my mothers home made bread in an afternoon so we got lots of practice slicing warm bread.

In the big bakery plants the bread goes through a cool down process and then its sliced just before its bagged....

Use one of these and let the weight of the knife do the work......http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ce-full-site=1
