Let's start over......
I need to decide on oil change interval. The manual says 10,000. No way I can do that. I start getting nervous about 3500 miles. Just can't get over it. I have been doing every 4500 or so with the 05. The oil would be changing colors by that time. I may settle on 5,000 for this one, or I may stay with the 4,500.

I was using the Meguier's red stuff, forget what they call it and switched to the Gold and it was noticably better. When you dry it with the microfibers, it really shines.

I think the 10,000 is a money saver for them anyways, took my truck and Mustang in for an oil change to the dealer. After the change looked at the stickers and the car is good for 10,000 km and the truck is only good for 5000 km.... I own the truck and the car is leased and has free oil changes

Never have tried the megs gold soap....I've always used sonax or the Harley bike wash soap........tried the "ice" soap once and never again will I use it......alot depends on the local purveyors water quality on how the soap is going to perform......
This is true, water quality has a lot to do with it. The other reason I really like the Meg's Gold is I can get it anywhere and don't have to order it.
He won't, that's the problem unfortunately.
This is what I use... great so far the washes I've used it for
