Let's start over......
I would not be surprised if both Jr and Tony missed the chase with how they're running.
Smoke needs to fix his attitude, he's been kind of a baby lately.
I'm pumped for you Randall! Good luck buddy
Had an interesting turn of events today. A guy I work with at Target (known for 3+ years) will be helping me with my brakes. We were talking about it and he offered to help and his price was reasonable... around 100-150. If it's a bit more I don't care. My dad had no issue since he agreed with a lot of what my dad had said to me in the first place. He was an Autozone in walking distance from his house so if we need anything, we can go there. He is going to walk me through it and then have me do one with guidance from him. He worked at a Landrover dealer for a bit as well Pat... he didn't do nearly as much as you, but he did some various tasks around there.
So I'll be doing front brakes (shooting for a week from Monday) to start. Now the passenger side outer brake pad had less pad than the drivers side and from what I read, it could be a pin in the caliper sticking. If that's the issue, then it looks like cleaning it and re-greasing does the trick, if not, you replace the caliper. He knew all about that. He recommended ceramic pads or semi metallics which I planned on anyways. Just not sure about what rotors to get. My dad made a good point of ordering them locally in case I need to get them again due to an issue. I see Wagner makes a rotor for the trucks and wearever I saw at Advanced Auto Parts as well online. Any suggestions on a OEM style rotor I can get at a local auto parts store for a reasonable price? I'm a 2wd so it's the whole hub set-up that gets replaced. Also, anything special on the 2wd's? I'm going to keep reading, but I read something about replacing a nut when you replace the brakes on a 2wd
Now I read there is a spindle nut as well. I have read Jim used Raybesto's rotors... any thoughts on them? I want something I can easily get at a parts store... Rock Auto is where I will probably order from though due to the savings
Sounds yummy! Time to eat myself, burger sliders
