Now that one I like!

John, you make it sound like Ford went the way of Kia as far as build quality. You really only hear the bad stuff, especially in forums such as this. I mean how many people are going to come here and start a thread about how nothing happened to the truck today?

I know I'm a bit harsh, but I feel like the manufacturers are just getting so cheap and asking more and more. My next vehicle will most likely be a commuter car after college and keep my truck. But when the time comes to add another truck, there's no way I'd drop 30-40+ on something that is so so. Aside from the funky plugs changes and quirks on our generation, I'm happy with mine. I could always upgrade the front end and bed and have a newer styled truck down the road...

And one thing that really bothers me (which I'm young so it's weird I guess) is how electronic everything is. I understand it helps with ease of driving, but if something goes wrong, I'd hate to have an electronic gremlin that the dealer tries to chase. Yet another thing to fail. Maybe I'm just to critical

By the way, looks like Ford is watching forums... those emblems are color coordinated with inlays from the looks of it.

If you scroll down and look through the pics, there's a closeup shot of the FX2 badge.

They did a nice job on those badges, it looks real good all around

I'd be curious to see what they do with the SD, I really want a diesel as I already have a gasser. To bad ford doesn't have the cummins...

John, you want to talk about sticker shock? Go to your local Ford dealer and look at what the window sticker is for a replacement for my truck then add about another $2900 for a new air ride 5th wheel hitch and my next truck will probably have either a BOSS 8'-2" Power V or Western 8'-6" MVP snow plow worth another $5500.

There are several members on here that work for Ford.

I know there are members like Quitin and such here, just neat to see common mods actually worked into the design.

Quintin and several others are Ford techs that work for dealers. That is not whom I meant. We have several members from Corporate Ford. Some pretty high up. For obvious reasons, they do not disclose this info.
