It's a 220V Campbell Hausfeld 60 gallon vertical tank unit. It's my dad's old compressor out of his old shop beacuse he is switching to a 60 or 80 gallon horizontal tank compressor and mounting it near the ceiling in the garage of his new house to save floor space.

Cool!!! I have a 60 gallon but its a 110 unit. I really need a 220 unit for all my air tools. That poor 110 just can't keep up.

How's he mounting it?

It might vibrate the house if mounted from the wall or ceiling without properly being isolated......mounting it on a stilted platform would be best....

We don't know yet, he has to get the compresor and that probably won't be until spring because he left for Texas yesterday.

I know, I can't wait to be able to use my big impact and air tools in my garage!!! I am tired of fighting rusted bolt's with a wrench and ratchet. I also need to start picking up the tools on my wish list for project TLB so I can get that going as well they just opened a Northern Tool in Appleton WI which about 2-1/2 hours south of me and I can smell the credit card burning already.......

The best way I've found to place an air compressor is in a leanto on the outside of the building......it helps to keep the noise levels down and a person to concentrate on the task at hand.....IMO

The house/garage is so well insulated and built that I doubt you would hear inside and the small shop he had it was pretty bad but the new garage is around 28ft deep by 36ft or 38ft long with 12ft high ceilings. I also don't know if the compressor would survive outside with infrequent use like the one that's going in my garage. My dad was always having moisture issues with it because he didn't use the compressor a lot and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one that used it hard when I was sandblasting.

We also have the TV or radio going in the garage as well..........
