My daughter, son-in-law and 4 grandkids just left. They drove up from Damon to Carrolton to buy their first Ford. They had been looking for some time for the right Excursion. They found it finally. 2003 with the 7.3, 96,000 miles and very clean. It was sold as the owner is taking a job overseas. They are very proud of it. I like everything but the diesel noise.

Diesel noise is what I'd like most about it.

Their Suburban was a 1999, been a pretty good one, but had air cond problems and several things were breaking. Hated to see my daughter and the kids taking off from Damon going to West Texas or coming here.

He has a 2002 Silverado with the 350 in it with 175,000 on it. His construction work truck.

Chevy hasnt used 350 since 1998 IIRC. its either 4.8 (290ci) or 5.3 (325ci)

You sure about that? He has a 2500HD and almost certain it's a 6.0.

yea 2500s had 6.0 which would be bigger then a 350, its a 370ci. I thought we were talking about 1/2 ton trucks since you said 350

I was under the impression that the 5.3 was based on the old 327 and the 6.0 based on the 350. Never did the math tho.

Sure they have, I've been forced (sort of) to work on a few. The latest was an 01.
