I'm surprised it has a pump. My 13 horse runs full throttle, without a pump. Unless I'm missing something. I might be, that one has never been apart, 10 years one pull, she fires right up every time.

Yea, I'm just not familiar with that set up then.

I think Deere put them on because the tank is all the way at the back of the machine and it won't gravity feed it fast enough to run the machine. I think your's might have an electric pump on it or it's buried under the engine tins near the carb.

Not the Deere, that's an 11 horse Kaw engine. The 13 horse is on a pressure washer. A Honda engine. The tanks high enough on that one, -

What do you have going on, carb issues? Ive torn a few apart. Give me a quic update.. What carb is it? Oh wait... I'm only familiar with jap carbs. Mikuni, keihin, etc. But they all have the same concept. Slide, needle valve, main jet, pilot jet, float, you get it. Is it choking out when you start it? Dumping fuel from the overflow? What air system does it use? Have you pulled the plugs to see if it is rich or lean..

Got my best mileage to date last night. Usually have a little headwind and get anywhere from 19.5 to 21.5. My previous best was 22.4. Last night with a slight tail wind, 22.7 running 68 with the cruise on.

Morning

Dave, Im not sure how far you checked into the setting the carb but it sure does sounds like float level is wrong and or the needle isnt seating.
To set float level have the bowl off, hold the carb upside down and the float should be level or just a hair high. And to check needle seating, if you got an adjustable air guage, again hold the carb upside down and blow air through the fuel inlet. The needle should unseat anywhere from 5 to 8 psi

I can beat that if I have a 10 mph tail wind and set the cruise at 65.
