I kinda like where JD put its cooling fan for the hydro unit on the 300's.....

The diagram doesn't show it but its on the motor output shaft by point 7+8....

Torn over what to do concerning that boat. I know it'll be a good one and it'll be good for my boy to get out and fish with me but I really hate spending that much money. :o

The only good thing is I know I can earn an extra $500 a week working OT again. 7 days every week in the new department I'm in.

Huh, is that right. Yea, neither of the Deere's I had in the past had those systems. Those were kind of in the middle of what I've owned I think. They didn't use a clutch right ? I've looked at them before in the past.

The 312 I used to have had one and the 314 I've got now also has it on the shaft.....mid to late 70's production....

I say buy the boat. Work a little more to put it back. Plus the boat will return its worth when your done with it. It's like a savings. Get it for a good deal now, use it for 2 years and keep it up.. sell it for close to what you paid and no harm. I did that with 2 boats a few years back.

MY JD is the X300 hydro with thr Kawaski engine. 13 hp, I think. I don't think I have that fan, but if I'm sitting over that, I might start to worry a little.

Now you know what I deal with!

I have a lot more posts than 30,000. There were two other threads like this one that got to about 24,000 post each.
