Jim, you would know it's a diesel just by the smell.

True, I should. But after mowing, not sure I could smell anything!

The mule could possibly be a diesel, Ive been trying to find online manuals and Ive only been pulling up the diesel ones for a 2000.

Well, they had a few things, but not what I was after. Had to fab up a lift plate and attach it to the garage door. Used a piece of plate,- Simpson strong tie steel (1/16th"). Beat it, bent it, drilled it in the vise and on the floor until it took the desired shape. Fastened it to the door and all is good.

Then last night, fumbling thru the scrap metal box, -I had a piece like that that would have worked.

Oh well, now I have two.

Ahh ic ic. I guess a good way to tell if it was a diesel if there was a glow plug light that came on before you started it

There are a couple of holes in the dash that are empty. Have no idea what went in them.

This reminds me, talking to a guy last night at work he was over in Michigan and stopped to get some fuel for his Diesel truck. Put a full tank in to realize that we use different colours for our pump handles. Here Diesel is yellow, in Sault Michigan yellow is E85 . Needless to say he now has about 4 gas cans of E85 sitting at home now

When my son was in college, he managed to fill up his 66 Mustang with diesel. 16 gallon tank and he put in 14 gallons. He made it about 3 blocks before it smoked to a stop. He had no idea and so first, I had to diagnose the problem and then I ended up with 14 one gallon jugs of diesel.
