a lot of paint that looks terrible is salvagable IF you are willing to put out the effort

found this in one of my books.....

GHOST IMAGES: Get a good application of rubbing coumpound, then followed it up with McGuire's 3-Step wax process (#1 Cleaner, #2 Polish, and then "Gold Class" Wax). That made the ghost images go away pretty good. Sometimes when the car is really dirty, you can still see them, but a good waxing hides them again.

Thanks guys, I think im going to get some clay. Ive been wanting to clay the truck as well too so see how that works and go from there.
Might need to get a couple of bars for the F150, I can only imagine how much fallout they will pull off the paint from sitting at work

my wife's old expedition only used one clay bar, it was terrible when I started butit came out quite nice (after three days of work)
