Just left the truck at the Athens Ford house to get oil and filter changed, tires balanced. Decided to get the tranny reflashed for the harsh shift at low speeds from 1st to 2nd. I told them that I did not want an air filter, would do it myself and he said, we don't charge labor, just the price of the filter. I asked how much, he said $28. That is about what one costs at WalMart, so I said do it. Then, I told him not to run it through their automatic car wash, that I did not want those brushes hitting it. He said, we can do a hand wash and vac. I said do it. Then a guy named Juan drove me back to work, and turns out he is the Detail shop manager. That worked out nicely, go t to impress on him what I wanted. Now we will see what I get.

Never have had those harsh shifts from 1 to 2 with the stock programming......

While I've been running custom tunes now for awhile......the shifts are firm and snappy but not harsh either .....

No, harsh does not describe this. It is a "BAM". Feels as if something hit the truck. It did it for awhile, then seemed to go away about the time I checked into a reflash. Came back the last two days. If you just barely get rolling, say on a parking lot pulling up to enter an exit lane, and before it needs to shift to 2nd, you let off the throttle, it does it. Shakes the whole truck.

Wow....never had that happen

On my 2006 had the cruise control torque converter tip in shudder with custom tunes.....made the whole truck feel like it was on the wake up rumble strips....only happened when using the coast button to reduce speed...but Bill fixed it....

I've never felt anything like this in an automatic. Feels as if the whole tranny would be broken. As long as you're accelerating, never happens. Only when you go maybe 5 mph and let off. It's like it has been told to shift and it is now going to shift regardless of what it is now being told.
