That $29 labor is probably more for the cost of storing on a shelf than anything else...
We used to charge 3 tenths to do air filter, our air box has 8 or 9 phillips screws. Newer 5L engines have twin air filters, we'd charge half an hour for those. Labor is 125 an hour. Couple tenths add up at the end of the week.

But also remember I'm taking home less than 1/5th of what we charge before taxes. So easy math ill call it $20 an hour, so a .2 job pays me 4 bucks, before taxes take out their 20% so I make $3.20. Not much when you do the math and think about it that way....

Good lord.....$125/hr......and I thought Harley was bad at $110....

The little shop where I work is at $75/hr....the boss doesn't charge for changing the air filter....we just get 10% of retail if we change one....

Hi folks. Got back to this continent last evening after spending 2 weeks in germany and austria. Gained a bit of weight from all the great food, but it was worth it. There view on gun control blows me away and had some good discussions about them. They're all anti-gun over there....oh well. At least they eat well.

Welcome back Setchan, sounds as if there is more of you to welcome!

Took the day off to celebrate my wife's staying with me for 50 years. She loves a challange and sticks to it till it's done.
