Makita may have fixed the problem with your 18V, not sure. Just in case, that's all you have to do.

THOSE Makita's are very nice. I wanted to try a Brushless Cordless and at the time DeWalt was beating up the competition. Only complaint I guess is that it will snap bolts easily, so I have to use a clutch attachment for repetitive fastening.

I didn't realize an 1/8" even existed. Unless you meant to say 1/4" ?

EDIT: I have a Porter cable that went swimming off the pool deck. Pulled the battery, removed the casing and blew it out. Worked fine after that and it never looked cleaner lol.

The big storm Orko fizzled out here but go 30 miles north and they got 10"+
