I live in snow country! Where I used to live in the U.P. our average winter was 120in with an extreme being in the 200in mark for a year. I live in what's known as the banana belt with only about 72in average yearly snow fall.

This was taken a few years ago in Laurium notice the street sign? That was taken in December!

I asked him why he didn't give up beer instead, he said he gave that up a couple of years ago.

Ohhhhh, a snow battle! I'll play!

I'm about 2hrs or 120mi north of Dave. We get plenty of snow up here.

http://mtukrc.org/met/weather_snow_data.htm

http://www.weather.com/sports-rec/sk...30105?pageno=5

Record snowfall for the area, 390 inches or 32.5ft in the winter of '78-'79.

We average about 200 inches/16+ft a year. Total on the ground now is anywhere from 3-5ft and season total is at 191 inches for the year.

Notice the signs on the road?

Jim,

it was a rock chip on the passenger side. Got the windshield by a 1/2". Headed to work that morning. Found the chip when I went to lunch and it was only a chip. Got ready to go home and it decided to go ahead and run. Luckily it ran down so hopefully its done. Last two new cars I bought in the last year I have had something bad happen to both before I ever got the paper plates off.
