THat room is looking good, Lars. Be a nice place to work on the truck!

Hauled a couch and recliner to Goodwill. Just finished online, a 120 question exam for continuing education. Missed 5 questions. Got one more exam. I have to have 40 hours each year to keep the license.

Similar to the F150 odometer repair I assume?

Makes me wonder if these are two different lenses.
I don't think you can get just the lens through Ford, I believe its the whole tail light assembly

Pat my understanding is rockauto is the whole assembly, im probably wrong though. I wasnt aware you could only change the clear lens, besides if thats the case good gawd that lens is rediculous.

Pat, I'm not sure. The problem seemed temerature/humidity related because it wouldn't work if the temp was under 70*, humid, or cold but it would come back on after things warmed up. It was also sensitive to vibration(not a good thing in a 1 ton) it would come and go on these beautiful roads we have up here. It worked this morning when I left for work this morning and it's been raining most of the day.

We'll see how it holds up as the week goes one.

No just tore into it found the problem and fixed it the best I could with out replacing the entire instrument cluster. I could make the odometer come and intermittently by wiggling one of the plugs so I diagnosed it as the bundle of wire pulling down and backwards on the circuit board and causing the odometer to come and go intermittently. Then I took the wire bundle and pulled it over the HVAC ducting to it was not getting pulled down and back like it was before. I think someone had the instrument cluster out before me because there was silver duct tape on the bottom of the instrument cluster.

Have you seen the F150 solder fix for the cluster odometer?
