edit....you may have to try and incorporate a SJB along with a 2009+ PCM that will soley be used for the radio only...

that's what I recall when I did some research....some guy in a 7.3 SD was trying to retro one in....the thread went cold ....so I really don't know if he ever completed it.....for what its worth I tried to look for the link in my bookmarks but its gone...
you may have to contact one of the authorized radio service repair shops....to see what they do to get the unit up for diagnostics....
