29 at about 11pm with 26mph wind gust's...pretty chilly for this far south. Plus we had some sleet and frozen rain with it...that's why all the road's were closed. Not expected to get above freezing untill this evening then back in the 20's tonight. 60's and 70's expected for the weekend and mid 70's by early next week.

That front is really unusual how it hit South Tx and moved up the Southern coast. The interior of Tx is dry.

A low pressure system from the Pacific side of Mexico moved east across Mexico and hugged the Gulf Coast carrying the moisture. I didn't get any snow but did get sleet...50 miles North it snowed...2nd time in less then a week which is rare down here! 34 now so I'm going get a bowl of shrimp and okra gumbo at my youngest daughter's house. MawMaw is at the oldest daughter's house helping out because she had minor surgery Monday.
