That should be an interesting game. I may watch some of the Dead Wings game tonight if I can keep my eyes open.

I can't stand them, but those dead wings sure are good. I can't believe how they get all the good players. Stars are underachieving to start this season.

They do have a good team but time will tell as the season goes on and injuries happen. I am having a hard time getting into watching the games again after the leauges little temper tantrum a few years back.

I played roller hockey for a while. Pretty fun. One guy (in his 30's, albeit) had his Grandma sew pillows in his shorts. He fell a lot.

Yeah a few of the guys tried it and found out it hurts less when you fall on the ice.

Yeah, outdoor tennis courts and basketball courts are hard, and you don't slide much when you land.

We made our own goals. We got helmets after I took a puck to the forehead. Explains a lot.

I have taken my fair share of sticks and pucks to the head when I played. The only time it really hurts is when you slide head first in the net of boards.

Yeah, one guy took a basketball pole support to the back of the head, bled a lot. He had a concussion. My puck to the head didn't hurt a bit. It hit and made that hollow sound, I instantly popped my hand up to my forehead. By the time I was 1/4 way to the bench blood was draining down my elbow. My wife was not happy when I got home.

Butterfly bandaids closed it. Would have took about six stitches or so.

I can imagine she wasnt happy. I have mentioned going back to play hockey with the old guys and my wife kind of gave me the look that say you are out of your mind.
