I put down the weed and feed type usually in late March and after that the lawn really takes off. Heading to Grand Isle in the morning and getting all the yard and housework done. Surprising MawMaw when she get's home from work. First thing when I retired was that she taught me how to use the dishwasher and the washer and dryer. I told her I already took that class at Lackland AFB year's ago!!

I use an organic fertilizer made from hay and molasses. Rabbit food. Put it on in February and October.

I don't do house work!

Boy PawPaw that one went right over the heads of the youngens on here. They probably don't even know what a Beat Nik was, let alone know who old Maynard was! Haven't heard that name in years.

Most but not Bluejay...he was the only Beatnik in Texas! Dobie Gillis was one of my favorite show's way back when. As you know Bob Denver went on to play Gilligan also. Check out some of the film clip's on you tube. For some more laugh's they have the Amos and Andy show's on there too..probably from the early 50's.

Bluejay a beatnik??? Somehow I can't picture him in the 60's sitting cross-legged on the floor of a New York City apartment smoking cigarettes and talking socialist politics......

Or is my picture of a "beatnik" off........
