Ford parts counter? I know that sounds like a smartass answer, but seriously that's where I would head to first.

Probably a good idea given that I will be in a rental car -- I like to put them through their paces just to see what they've got......

You in SD or IA......???

Ok I appreciate it Pat... no offense taken. I was thinking that but I didn't see it listed online so I wanted to ask before I looked like an idiot in there.

Waiting for Jim to say I look like an idiot all the time

Since you already know it, no need to say it.

Had my oil changed yesterday at the shop across the street from my work. I know the guy pretty well, and Fords are his specialty, so I always take my stuff to him (I'm too lazy to do it myself anymore). Halfway home from work last night my damn skid plate fell off and flew down the highway

Guess that's what I get for being lazy

Did it use any during that time and can you tell if there is gas in the oil?

It's down a little on the stick but since I don't have any 5W-30 I'll just bring it in and get it changed. Doesn't look like there's any gas mixed in the oil even though the chrome tailpipe tip look's black indicating it may be running a little rich.

Mine uses about a quart in 4000 miles. I add but get it changed at 5000 except the last time, I went about 5700.
