I sure did! I remembered that and made sure to mark the spots with a red sharpie, tightened it a hair then once I had everything back and tires on I torqued it all down

Btw, the jack trick for the spindle was great!

I took the truck for a nice long ride a little while ago and it was so nice... sad that I dealt with that many issues. I guess in a way it isn't all bad though because I'm becoming pretty handy

While I was at the dealer I was walking around the lot. I looked at the Raptors... the tailpipes are NOT even mandrel bent!! They're smooth bent. Cheap bastards. I also couldn't get over the prices. 40k for an STX crew cab?!?! wth. I saw one 2wd set up like mine in burgundy and it was 36k. Mine was custom ordered in '04 with every option you could get for an xlt and was 31k. It's disgusting how inflated those prices are.

it's nuts, my buddy had an ad up from circa late '80s ewhen a base model was $8K new. my base model worker was $34K in '04.

my good truck cost around $22K new I believe - a similar equipped truck now would be almost $50K.

and yet, as you say, ford and the other mainstream truck makers are becoming really cheap. more and more.

Yeah and people aren't making more. It's so unfair. Then they have to take 8-12k off for people to even buy them. What is the point of that? You're going to take money off to even more them.

I fail to see a point. it is very unfair. it's not like back in the 1910's when a car was about 300 and so was the average income. it's growing out of proportion.

and the new 2015s are more expensive, supposedly due to higher quality materials. I call BS. there's one of many reasons I don't buy New trucks.....

Drove a 2011 Lincoln MKZ today and I'm really thinking about picking it up this week.

On my truck, when the air cond is on and I turn the key on to start it, there is a loud popping noise under the dash, behind the face of the air controls. If I turn the air off, it stops. Any ideas?

Don't know. This sounds like a gear jumping on a sprocket, one tooth at a time. Eventually quits.
