Called a dealer on a new 2013 FX2 leftover. They must think people are insane. Total of $8500 discount with a cash sale. I told him I was expecting near twice that. He said they could not take the loss for all the interest they had paid and I said so you want me to take your loss. He said, well someone would buy it. That is crazy. It was only $3000 less than a new 2014 and it is now 2 years old.

I just don't get the appeal of the vehicles now at those prices. I am so happy with my ')4 on the inside and I have been getting it where I want on the out. It's insane and to reject a cash sale like that the dealer is a moron.
I've been narrowing down what vehicles I am going to look at. I'm starting to lean away from Ford because I just don't think it's the best value. The 2014/15 Mazda 6's really have my attention. I want a stick and the car to be engaging to drive. Everything points at this car (going to test drive one soon) because I can get the sport suspension because it's all that is offered and not have to pay a premium for junk I don't want on the inside. Prewired for Fogs (would add them) and basic 17" wheels which I'd use in the winter anyway and get 19 or 20's for the rest of the year. If I was buying a truck now it might even be an XL. I'm just not into the frills or the stupid high costs.
