He is definitely on my "bucket list" of people I'd like to see play live! Lot's of cool clips of him on YouTube doing little songwriter gigs that are great to watch! When "Thunderbird" comes up on my iPod I usually have to repeat it 2 or 3 times......

First time I saw him was at a club in downtown Fort Worth, the old Caravan of Dreams, shortly after a fellow worker had introduced me to his music. It was standing room only, and I was standing. It was an awesome show. Second time was at the Bass Hall for a songwriters roundtable. Joe Ely, Guy Clark, Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt. It was a great show too. Hiatt has a history of depression and possibly ADD. He had the house rolling when he was fidgeting around and told the crowd to please excuse him if body parts started falling off, that he had forgotten his meds when he left home. You really have to study the words of his songs and the metaphors there. Some deep stuff.

May be all that little 5.0 can do just to carry the hitch.
